Responsibilities:
The candidate will lead the Enrollment Capture Systems Team as part of Idemia's Enrollment Services development team.
The team focuses on various aspects of managing, automating, deploying and tracking the software that runs on a fleet of various edge devices used for Idemia's Enrollment Services.
The team acts as a bridge between several other teams within the organization (Software, Hardware, Cloud, Logistics, etc).
Day to day
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 4 engineers interfacing with both hardware devices and software.
Plan the work for the team based on current priorities.
Provide technical expertise to the rest of the team.
Coach and mentor the more junior members of the team.
In addition to being a people manager, the team lead is expected to be hands on and contribute to the day to day workload.
Ensure HW/SW solutions deployed to the field are well tested and functioning properly.
Propose and implement more optimal strategies for deploying, monitoring, tracking and troubleshooting a fleet of devices running in the field.
Collaborate with other team leads in both HW and SW to find the best solution to challenges that are unique to the SW/HW paradigm.
Qualifications:
BA/BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline.
Minimum 5
years current hands-on experience with solutions where software and hardware intersect.
Current hands-on experience with Team City and/or Gitlab or similar build/deploy automation tools.
Experience with fleet management of hundreds of devices out in the field.
Experience with SCCM, Bomgar, Windows installers, MSIs and similar software bundling tools and frameworks.
You must be a US citizen (Dual ok).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
