YOUR ROLE Cashiering functions including processing check requests, wire transfers, journals, and IRA distributions Process and monitor transfer of assets Special compliance or operational projects as needed Process billing for managed accounts Interact with clearing firm and sales associates, to resolve problems as needed, while maintaining ownership for the problem until resolution Reports escalated issues and activities to supervisor when needed Provide backup to other departmental staff as needed Cross train with all department staff POSITION REQUIRES Bachelor's degree-BS or BA (Finance/Business related major is a plus), or equivalent work experience.
Experience in operational services; Finance, Investment Bank a plus.
Three (3) years brokerage or similar industry experience preferred.
FINRA Series 7 securities license or obtain within 6 months YOU POSESS/ARE A strong commitment to integrity and teamwork- Demonstrates a strong client focused mindset balanced with a clear risk management approach; Commitment to satisfying internal and external customers The ability to work in a fast paced environment, assigning priorities to tasks, and handling those of the most urgency and importance Able to remain composed under pressure (MUST HAVE) The ability to effectively work in a team environment, building a spirit of cooperation, and sharing knowledge and skills with others in the group Excellent working with Excel, and other Microsoft applications Maintain critical thinking, attention to details, and creative problem-solving The proven ability to build, maintain and enhance relationships at all levels A self-starter, taking initiatives, being curious of what we do and how to improve is a must!
