In this role, you'll oversee, develop, and manage our workers' compensation program with the goal of promoting a culture of safety and support. From ensuring compliance with state-specific laws to collaborating with legal partners, you'll be at the forefront of protecting our most valuable asset our people.


Key
Responsibilities:


  • Compliance Management:
    Ensure compliance with state-specific workers' compensation laws in all states where LifePoint operates.
  • Settlement Evaluation:
    Evaluate cases for potential settlement and provide guidance to our third-party administrators to negotiate settlements.
  • Legal Collaboration:
    Work closely with multiple attorneys in the defense or resolution of claims, ensuring effective management of legal processes.
  • Education and Training:
    Educate hospital personnel on workers' compensation, employee safety, and reporting requirements, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Claims Management:
    Collaborate with third-party administrators to ensure claims are handled in a timely manner and reserves are properly established.
  • File Reviews:
    Conduct quarterly file reviews with our third-party administrators
  • Loss Prevention:
    Conduct assessments at hospitals experiencing a high frequency of claims, proactively addressing potential risks and hazards.
  • Due Diligence:
    Participate in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, ensuring workers' compensation considerations are addressed.
  • Collaborative Efforts:
    Work with other members of the health support center to achieve desired results in the workers' compensation program.

  • Education:
    Bachelors Degree.


  • Experience:
    Minimum of 10 years related experience, with union awareness preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
