Position
Summary:
Responsible for performing all tasks associated with assigned flow cytometry assay validation and development duties. The Project Specialist performs all tasks according to standard operating procedures of the department and adheres to all safety requirements of ECTS.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Performs various laboratory maintenance and preventive maintenance as assigned by Supervisor.
2. Performs specific validations-related laboratory tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
3. Reads and summarizes assigned scientific readings as required by Supervisor
4. Maintains and tracks inventory of laboratory supplies
5. Learns to operate instrumentation as needed for working in the laboratory
6. Performs required standardization and QC of instrumentation as assigned by supervisor
7. Preserves and maintains critical components such as cell lines, monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies, calibrators and control sera.
8. Adheres to Safety policies and compliance program.
9. Documents by hand and by Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or other computer methods
10. Designs experiments as assigned by supervisor
11. Writes SOP's and other reports as needed
12. Reviews SOPs and validation reports of others and summarizes for supervisor.
13. Analyzes data per standard operating procedures.
14. Participates in meetings as requested by presenting, listening, discussing and critically evaluating own data and that presented by others.
15. Interacts with clients on a regular basis in a professional and confidential manner.
16. Works some overtime when requested during intervals of intense need.
17. Performs other duties as assigned and trained.
