New Product Development Manager
We have a career building opportunity for a New Products Development Manager. This position is based at our office in Nashville, Tennessee.
JOB
Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the VP of New Product Development, this position is responsible for the identification and collection of company-wide new business opportunities with a focus on industry and consumer trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
o Researches industry, market and consumer trends of OEM and automotive aftermarket, provide written updates and presentations
o Analyzes and identifies coverage and program requirements for various sales channels; prepares retail price shops, collaborates with merchandising team on special projects.
o Identifies opportunities in the market that provides a competitive advantage, developing action plans to accomplish the opportunities
o Coordinates with Operational and Merchandising team to develop and launch new products
o Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
o Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering; 5
years of experience in automotive aftermarket;
Experience in developing parts catalog;
Analyzing and Identifying opportunities in competitive marketplace;
Significant project management and e-tailing experience; and broad knowledge of OEM automotive technologies and trends.
Broad knowledge of Automotive Parts, components and systems.
Knowledge of Supplier Base and Competitors.
Experience with Supplier capabilities and requirements.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook); and ACES
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Detailed oriented.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and is committed to producing accurate and well organized work.
